Wilsons fame was surpassed by the U.S. during 2014, when she landed a role as a character on Showtimes The Affair. The show also starring Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson was a hit among viewers and critics alike and earned Wilson an award of a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama in 2015. However, she views herself in a totally different way which on the outside is dull and in the shadows and not wanting to stand out. Wilson starred in the thriller horror I Am the Pretty Thing Living in the Home, which premiered in 2016 and also played the mysterious PT Stella as the Sci-Fi romantic comedy How to Talk to Girls at Parties. Her filmography will soon include another film in the horror style. It's a British movie adaptation The Little Stranger is an supernatural thriller that is an adaptation of a Sarah Waters novel.
